Annie Toth joins Alarm Will Sound as our General Manager after spending 5 years working as Eighth Blackbird‘s Operations Manager and 2 years as The Blackbird Creative Lab‘s Deputy Director. Prior to arts administration, she worked for 7 years in the non-profit sector at CASA of Cook County advocating for abused and neglected children, ending her stint there as Executive Director. Throughout her professional career, she has continued to write and sing minimal pop songs with her band Weatherman.
Alarm Will Sound’s Executive Director Gavin Chuck says, “Annie’s experience as a creative artist, non-profit leader, and arts administrator makes a great fit for our continued leadership in the field. She will advance our team’s mission to move contemporary music and performing arts towards the center of today’s culture.”
Originally from Chicago, she now lives in a small village in southeast France.
