Alarm Will Sound seeks a Program Coordinator for part-time work.
Alarm Will Sound is a touring chamber orchestra that commissions and performs contemporary music. The Program Coordinator would be a part-time contractor who would work up to 15 hours a month for $20 an hour. This person would largely work from home, but may occasionally be invited to tour with the ensemble. (Housing and travel would be paid on these occasions.)
The Program Coordinator will work with the Assistant Director of Artistic Planning on production management and project development tasks. These include organizing materials in our digital library, sharing information with players and presenters, and gathering information from scores, among other duties. The successful candidate will be smart, reliable, resourceful, interested to learn new skills, and passionate about contemporary music. Candidates should all be comfortable reading music and working in Google Workspace, and should be game to work with notation software as well as to do basic audio editing. (Prior experience in these areas is a plus.)
